Hi All,
Great Forum, thanks to all contributors, I've enjoyed reading it.
I've taken the plunge 26 April. Ordered :
Yeti 1.6TDI Greenline II Elegance
Extras:
Park Assist
Amundsen Sat Nav
Spare Wheel
MDI Interface
Will be considering adding Mudflaps and Rubber Mats for the front.

WELCOME. Nice spec, on both my yetis the dealer added the mud flaps and mats for free (or so he said
) worth a try.

Now for the wait, but you will enjoy it when it arrives

The mud flaps are a good idea, with the wheels/tyres so near the outer limits of the bodywork they make a good job of throwing muck up on the bodywork.
If your dealer asks for too much to supply/fit them they are easy to do yourself. Someone bought theirs from here http://www.skodapartsmunster.ie/index.asp
and saved themselves a few ponds.

Oh dear. Just had word, the Dealer ordered the wrong Yeti (1.2 TSI vice 1.6 TDI). Another 11 weeks wait.

The options were:

Accept the 1.2TSI
Re-order correct vehicle
Dealer tried to source a similar spec
Get deposit back.

I opted for a re-order:

Added extras now include a:
TPM;
Park Assist;
Amundsen DAB Sat Nav
MDI Interface
Mats
Mud flaps
Life Shine.

(Spare wheel not a factory fitted option, nor is a heated front screed)

Hope this one goes ok

The reason for changing from a Golf to a Yeti is access for my wife. She struggles getting in/out of my Golf due to a back problem.

I asked for a courtesy/loan Yeti until the new one arrives. The dealer couldn't manage this.

However I am expecting mud flaps/rubber matts.

Oh well!

I am not surprised that you did not get a courtesy car, but did you try for some complementary servicing? If all they are offering is mats and flaps how about a full tank of fuel?

I am sure you will findit well worth the wait. Not wishing to offend anyone but you did the right thing refusing the 1.2. From personal experience the 1.2 is good for its engine size but it is a small engine in a heavy car so performance and fuel economy is not the best in the world. I get 14 to 16 mpg more in my car than I did in a 1.2 loan car. As long as you are not doing short stop start journeys which will upset the DPF,the 1.6 diesel will be more at ease and give better economy. Once again 1.2 owners no offence intended. Hopefully the rest of the wait will not be too long and you will have a big smile on your face.

The 1.2 suits me fine and each to their own... It's a very capable engine!

Yeti arrives at the dealers today (at last).

Have the registration number, and I hope to pick it up early next week (if God spares me).

Will attempt to post a photo if/when I get it.

Thanks to you all for your kind comments.
