Hello everyone,

I'm seriously considering the purchase of a new Yeti Outdoor, and just wondered if anyone had any advice with regard to dealing with the dealer, as it were. My local dealership in Dartford, Kent, are very helpful, not pushy, and remembered my name from a visit of 6 months previously (impressive!).

I want the 4x4 version, with the 2.0TdI 170 DPF engine. My extras list currently (!)stands at £2980 (RRP) which brings the total cost to around £27,500, no small amount!

Now, I know there are lots of different finance options to consider, however, does anyone have any words of wisdom regarding any discounts available? Should I be looking at a percentage discount on the full price? Will I get one at all?!

Also, any idea on build times?

Thanks in advance everyone, no doubt there will be more questions in time!

Many thanks, Carole

There are quite a few on line options, drivethedeal, happynewcar, orangewheels, skodastore etc. Skodastore are Rainworth Skoda a main dealer in Mansfield and supplied mine. The others have been used by other members. If you don't fancy dealing with an internet site, you could always get a quote and challenge your dealer to match it.

Hi Carole, i got mine through the What Car? target price service. They got me my Yeti with £1000 off list price. No dealer would get anywhere close! Supplying dealer was Listers Skoda in Coventry. Great service and great price!

The discount I was given from Skodastore (Rainworth) far exceeded that, although factors such as the actual model and time of year (ordered Sept 9th, in showroom Jan 13th)might be an influence.

Thankyou everyone for your replies, most useful!

I have used Drive The Deal in the past, however they don't seem to affiliate with Skoda? I shall certainly try the other on-line companies, if only as you suggest, to try and get the dealer to at least match it.

I'm not paying full list price, thats for sure! That's just the strating point as far as Im concerened!

Id be interested to know whether any other forum members got a better deal by using Skoda finance, as opposed to say a bank loan to top up the deposit.

Many thanks again, I will keep you posted!

Hi Carol, as you will see below, your spec looks very similar to mine & sounds great.I looked for ages for a dealer who was interested in taking an order & a decent deal but failed until I went to a broker. My best deal & also best service was from "Carfile" a family run broker(you DO NOT pay them any money directly) my contact was Jonathan Lawless & they specialise in Skoda deals. My advice & I have no connection with them, is give them a try. Theyput you in contact with UK dealersonly UK dealers not imports.
Cheers
JOOKS.

Hi smudge, I purchased mine from Sherlodge Garage in
Rainham,
Kent 2 1/2 years back. I managed a bit of a deal at the time. Now the car is more common, perhaps better deals are easier.
