I am an Angler and a Golfer, so I have just invented a new sport called FOLFING.

What you do is:
Set up your fishing gear with a ledger and bait it.
Place the ledger in a golf T.
Whack it with a club, number of club determines how far you cast.

I tried out several methods and found it best to freeze your groundbait into balls, the first time out, I did forget I was not on the green, and hit it with a wood, never saw the groundbait again, but now I use a putter and skim it across the water like ther "Dam Busters".

Any suggestions for improvement are gladly welcomed

It also wouldn't matter if you were a bad shot (unless you missed the river).
I used to go sea fishing but I think a smallish boat with six people waving golf clubs about could be a bit difficult. One of my mates was always sea sick (good ground bait) maybe a spot of golf would have taken his mind off the boat moving about.
Do you have any more new "sports" in the pipeline. Mind you I suspect you may be slightly bonkers

Someone from the factory next to my signal box used to practice "frisby golf" in the lunchtimes!
