Hi All

Just bought a lovely white, used Yeti and getting it ready for the road! There is a small ding with some paintwork missing
( down to the metal) on the offside rear wheel arch where I am trying to re-touch and blend in with a Halfords touch up kit. The label in the boot states the full paint code is LF9E-9P9P

I took this to be Candy White and bought a touch up kit from Halfords. After priming and first top coat the colour doesn't quite match up and seems a bit grey?. Could anyone confirm if this is the right colour? 馃

The colour code will be on a paper sticker on the left of boot floor under floor coverings

I have the same kit from Halfords, the code is correct but it's like what you said the colour is nothing like (very Greyish)

This is all very trying - matching paint and DIY.
I too had a small area of "grazed" paint on front bumper, which Marshals did nothing about pre-collection, albeit telling me to buy a bottle of touch up paint and do it myself
Using the code in the boot label, I bought correct touch up paint off Dennis Horton (Skoda dealer who originally supplied Dolly) in Lincoln and duly applied said paint/lacquer myself.
But it looked a real Horlicks, so for just 拢60 I got a local specialist (Little Knocks in Wokingham - The Hood will have heard of them) to sort it, and now its all fine.

Oh and BTW - Welcome Graf to this excellent forum.

Graf,

Welcome!

In future you (or others?) may want to try this alternative source of touch-up paints:

This retailer is based in Northern Ireland but mails throughout UK. Over the past ten years or so, I've had touch-up paints from them for over seven cars. Always found perfect matching colour, with an excellent and durable formulation. Fast despatch and delivery too.

Snowgood and I were writing simultaneously to create #5 and #6!
It would seem Fiona McGowan has transmuted into trading as "XtremeAuto" as a trading title.

Thanks guys for your help, I will look into the other source. For now at least the repair will prevent any corrosion. :)

I've placed an order and had a confirmation note from Fiona at ukautospares.

Your paint will be with you in a couple of days then. :)
鈥渦kautospares鈥 is another business name they seem to use.
A few years ago the invoice would say 鈥淟endrum & Weir鈥.
Let us know if you get a better match?

You're right, my payment receipt was sent from "wilson lendrum & weir ltd" and estimate delivery on Friday.
I've had another look at my Halfords kit and the primer is a better match to the car, the top coat is really much more Grey.

Arrived today and straight away you could see it is a lighter shade. I made up a couple of painted paper tabs (one of each) and the new one is a perfect match. so I am well pleased with the new one from UK Autospares.(y)
