Hi folks, after some months of searching the scrapyards of England, I have obtained a new door to replace the slightly crumpled one on my Yeti, IN THE RIGHT COLOUR!
Now, I have a couple of questions.
1) Do the doors just drop over posts on removal or loosening of the Torx-bolts on the hinges? Or do parts of the hinge have to be removed? This is important to me as.. I have no friends! (Except for you excellent types!) I could manage to drop the new door over a post, but any more is a 2-man job (??).
2)The 'new' door is complete with windows and motors, locks etc.
Will it have to be coded? Do I need to disconnect the battery before starting work?
I intend to take some pictures of the process to help future Yetonians.
Cheers!

The doors are heavy but I have changed one single handed. First the wiring harness needs unplugging, Then hinges need to be unbolted from the door or the bodywork. I made a stand like a trestle to put under the door to support it as is undone. Then lift the old door off the trestle and exchange for the new door refit your new door in a reverse manner with a bit of jiggling I'm sure you can do it. leave the bolts lightly nipped to hold the weight of the door and very carefully push it closed whilst checking for alignment you may need to move the hinges slightly. When aligned tighten the bolts fully. Check the door lock is holding the door shut and the door panels are flush.

It shouldn't need coding. I changed a lock on mine and it was plug & play, though you may have to reset the windows if the battery was disconnected.
Allow yourself a good half a day so you're not having to rush, that should be plenty but when you've started job you have to stay with it.

I hope this helps you.

My convo's with Google (I am a truck-driver) are more often
"Why don't you just FRO, you useless and annoying POS" etc...My accent is SE England, nothing out of the ordinary.. But Google has been and is worse than useless!
"OK GOOGLE! Call Waitrose in Buckhurst Hill"
Calling Freight Bros in San Diego, California"
O just FRO. I am going to have to stop my truck in this busy street, pick up the phone, get rid of YOU, call the shop and ask them to open the delivery bay. AI? FOAL!
