Our Yeti has lived outside from new. No leaks ever. Ideal 'keeper' car for us and would most likely just helicopter tape over, if ever there was an issue.
Roof is rarely opened but greatest benefit is the sky-bright interior. No.2 son has a Yeti without a sunroof and it is gloomy inside by comparison - however, it doesn't worry him.
So, like most things, you weigh up the pros and cons and spend your money accordingly.

However, having had a fault-free 'skylight' through two Espaces and now the Yeti, I am maybe a bit biased.
