Whilst channel surfing the other day on TV, Icame across a programme about the Skoda 109E.
I had no idea that Skoda have a whole side of their parent company devoted to transportation, locomotives, carriage, trolley buses etc!

Having a bit of a read upon the net, I`ve discovered that Skoda Transportation are really on the up and this loco, which has been in development and production since 2008 has just been granted homologation, which means that it has passed extrememly stringent requirements to be sold across Europe, only the second loco in the world to have passed! Six of them have been sold to DB, the German state railways, a sign of how good they are!

I don`t think my local Skoda dealer will be stocking them!

And yes! I do love railways and also I am a bit of a geek!

Wow!My drive is a tad short for this model!
Nice to see at least part of it is in Candy White!
SWMBO is worried about reverse parking it as well.

I think you'll find this is a replacement for the Greenline as it's an all electric model.
