I'm asking all these questions and really appreciate the help you guys are giving.
I have a 2015 Black Edition and want to do a Sat Nav update.
Unfortunately the SD card ain't anywhere to be seen. I've seen numerous seller's selling the SD cards with up to date maps on for reasonable money.
I want to make sure I get the correct one for my car, How do I know which unit I have?
When I go into the system it says part number etc, but nothing is there?
Anyone got any ideas which one is fitted to a 03/2015 Black Edition?
Many thanks for any advice.

I presume you have the unit with a "music" SD card and a separate map SD card. If so, didn't you get the card when you bought the car?
Whilst there are cards available on the net some have been found to be dodgy and have introduced problems into the system.

I can only see one slot?
On the left hand side.
Purchased the car secondhand, the sat Nav does actually work.......
I'm wondering now if it's a disc?????

My 2015 SE-L had 2 SD cards so that is where the confusion comes.
It can't be a disc as there is no disc player/reader.

If it's a disc it could be a Columbus unit. Have a look at this link which has pictures of the various types of Amundsens. Trouble is that Skoda keep using the same names for different head units.

Try posting a picture of yours and that may help us identify a solution.

Okay, many thanks.
I'll keep on trying to find out.
The instruction book isn't exactly helpful.
Worst case scenario is a dealer visit if it comes to that.
Ta muchly.

A picture of the whole thing would be better. Those 3 are all the same.

The long horizontal slot at the top of the unit is for CDs playing music.
The small vertical slot immediately left of the screen is for your SatNav SD card.
The latter should have been handed to you by previous owner.

Many thanks.
Yes I think many for some reason unknown to me end up going walkabout.
Any ideas which unit it is?
Cheers.

Seems the more I try and find out which unit is fitted the more complicated it gets with at least 4/5 different units fitted to Yetis.
Simply Skoda this is definitely not!:cautious:

Well we can certainly rule out it being a Bolero! ;) ;)

You have one of two possibilities; Amundsen RNS310 or a Amundsen+ RNS315.
There is a way to see which one you have!
Here is a cut n paste from a website

*How to define which unit is fitted in the car RNS310 Amundsen or RNS 315 Amundsen +

Press SETUP and hold about 10 sec. On screen choice "Versions"
Skoda Amundsen RNS310 have only 3 information lines :
1 Part number
2 Software versions
3 System hardware versions

Skoda Amundsen + RNS315 have 5 information lines:
1 Part number
2 Software versions
3 System hardware versions
4 Navigation data: part number
5 Navigation data: version

That is a pre November 2014 car, that's when they changed to the Amundsen II that could be updated on the Skoda Update Portal for free.

I did try putting in the VIN on the Skoda Portal and it just kept saying contact your local dealer.
I've ordered an SD card I'll give it a go and keep you guys posted.
