Hi Folks,

Could anyone please tell me how to remove the between-seats lighter/power socket?

The power plug on one of my devices has come to pieces and two of the small components (inc. the fuse) have disappeared through the tiny holes in the socket, so I'd like to try and retrieve them if poss?

Thanks.

Hi,

The 'holes' I am referring to are the tiny ones inside the lighter/power socket body (punched out of the metal), in the centre console behind the gear lever, and it's approx' three of the small components (i.e. inc. the fuse) of the dissembled power-lead plug that have slipped through these holes. They have now blown the (yellow, 20A) fuse in the Yeti, so I really need to get them out before I replace the fuse and get the socket working again.

Any help in removing the socket body would be most appreciated, thanks.

As said else where.

Remove the gear lever gaiter and that should show you if you can get into the area, otherwise you will have to gently prise off the side trim on the passengers side of the console. It is only clipped on.
