There are clues, for example I have one red letter in TDI and a red x in 4x4which means it is a 140 BHP, a 170 BHPhas two red letters and a red x. There may be others for the petrol engines but I do not know how they are arranged. Do you have any red letters?

It's a 1798 c.c. 16 valve straight four cylinder engine, with quoted power @ 158 bhp and torque @ 184 ft lb and a claimed 0-60 time of 8.1 seconds.

The 1.8 is the only petrol yeti to have 4x4, TSI 4X4 = 1.8 TSI.
The TDI yetis have a red letter code on the rear, apart from the 110 2x4 which I think I am right in saying has only TDI on it.
