Post No 23 New or used vehicle your rights

If you have purchased a new or used vehice this may be of use to you. Especially if you are being fobbed off with a three month warranty, or being told you have purchased an extended warranty and the dealer is no longer responsible. Please note you have far less rights with a private sale andthis refers to dealer sales.

Post No26 Leaking Sunroof

The Yeti sunroof is notorious for leaking either from the drain tubes or unit seal. We had two slightly different threads running at the same time regarding leaks. Wakev found this on another forum but shared it here.

Post No27 Used car warranty claims customer rights.

A dealer is liable for any significant fault that could have been present or developing on date of sale for six months from the date of sale and, to get out of that, the burden of proof is on him to prove it wasn't. An insured warranty cannot cover any fault that was present or developing when the warranty was taken out because that would be insurance fraud. Even if you buy an aftermarket warranty you only get very limited cover for the first three months for that reason.

Post No32 Door loom failure

The door loom connection between the A pillar and the door is prone to failure on Yeti. The connection was modified sometime during 2013 so if you have electrical problems with your door and your vehicle is 2009-2013 this could be the cause.

This link is to a post by Yeti1961 who changed his own failed loom.
