Green brake fluid

I've just bled my clutch and beforehand decided to remove the yellow plastic liner in the reservoir and suck out all of the fluid and replace it before commencing. I was surprised to see that the old fluid was murky green. I've had the car for two years and prior to purchase its been invoiced for several brake fluid changes by a Skoda garage throughout it's life. Hmmm....would have expected a car that has had proper fluid changes to have much cleaner fluid.

The only time I've seen green fluid is the mineral Citroen type, or badly moisture contaminated systems with copper brake lines.

The plan is to do a complete fluid change anyway and bleed all 4 calipers through with fresh fluid. The old fluid is miscible with DOT4, so appears to be compatible.

Does anyone here know if Skoda garages use anything other than the amber tinted DOT4, which could give rise to the green colour?
