Tyre Pressure Light Coming on

Hi All,
Today my tyre pressure light came on three times, just the light no alarm sound. I have checked the tyre pressures twice and there is no loss of air. On two of the occasions the light went out on its own after restarting the engine twice and I have reset the button each time. I know there is a recurrent problem with the tyre pressure warning light system in Skoda's , it comes on now and then and I check the tyre pressure and reset the button each time but never three times on the one day.
Any ideas anyone on what I should do next?
Thanks in advance

Debbie

The TPMS works using the abs sensors literally counting how many times the wheels rotate , a soft tyre has a smaller circumference and theoretically spins faster. If there is a failing abs sensor it could cause the problems that you are having. If that is the case you may get more indications in the days to come

Hi, Thanks for explaining this to me. I presume the ABS light will come on if a sensor fails in the coming days??
Thank you

Hi i had the same initial problem ,followed very quickly by other warning lights, front fog turning light shown as not working... they were working fine. traction control showing a fault on the dash It all turned out to be the ABS sensor on the rear wheel. Changed the sensor, reset the tps and all is good again
